The business of being an artist of any kind is quite often self-promotion. For you, the performing artist, it is necessary to bring reviews to a casting director or agent's desktop, or to let them know you will be appearing in an upcoming film or TV episode or just to remind them who you are. The flyers and postcards I create are a great way to do just that either digitally or as a hard copy.

Nicolle Rochelle did these photos with me right before she left for Paris to start performing as Josephine Baker. She was clearly in a good mood and excited to go.
Skie and I were shooting his headshots while he was on tour in Houston with BOMBAY DREAMS. As the understudy, he got the rare chance to get reviewed. So with permission from the wardrobe supervisor, we did a little guerrilla photography and created this image in a fountain in the middle of downtown Houston.
This was a photo I helped the amazing photographer Vicki Kerr create. I cropped it in half and added the show logo to promote Christine's upcoming appearance. Below is a link to the website I designed for Chris
My favorite part of doing this promo piece was changing the newspaper Belle is holding. The original headline only had "ROCKS CHICAGO" and some other text that I replaced with BELLE and SHE'LL ROCK YOU TOO matching the curve and light on the paper.
Erik was getting terrific reviews all over the country as "Motel" in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. He brought this photo to me and asked me what I could do with it. The big space on the wall seemed a perfect place to shout his praises and emphasize all those great accolades.
This was a backstage photo I cutout and blended in with the artwork from the show.
This was a photo taken on set behind a building. I cut it out and put it with the original artwork from the show.
This was a headshot I had done for Christine at the time she got nominated for the aMedia AMMY Awards. Combining the artwork from ABC's One Life To Live with the artwork from the awards show resulted in this promotional design. Below is a link to the website I designed for Chris
Kristin had just had a great summer out in the regions. Our goal was to let the people in New York know it.
This was a design only project for Roosevelt Credit. He brought me a great snapshot of him conducting his choir. I just brought it to "light". Below is a link to the website I designed for Roo.
Monica did many shots for a shoot we did me for the Louder Than Words benefit. It was fun to be able to combine a few of the "outtakes" for her.
Angel came to me for a fresh look for his photos and marketing materials before heading out to LA. This "bring it on" feel seemed to say it all for his business card.
Donna is a very confident expressive woman. This was my way of showing that.
Ford is one of those spirits that is always young at heart. So for his show TOMORROW I'M GONNA BE OLD BUT NOT TODAY, I wanted to show the image he sees in the mirror.
For Ford's show REMINISCE, I asked him to bring one of his old albums for him to reflect on and then I made a vintage record label to contain the info for his show.
Ford's show, THE SAME OLD ME, had a classic feel. It seemed perfect to use this picture I took of him in his tux. I then created the feel of theatre lighting.
It was fun to capture both the laid back groove and humor of Kevin all in one image with these photos.
The headshot I took of John against the red background was a perfect fit to incorporate the artwork for his upcoming performance.
