BRUCE JOHNSON is a New York City based photographer, graphic designer and documentary filmmaker. He edited and co-directed the award-winning documentary TRANSCENDING – THE WAT MISAKA STORY (Emerging Eye Directorial Discovery Award - the Roving Eye Documentary Film Festival, Gold Kahuna Award - Honolulu International Film Festival), He also directed the audience award winning short film ALL AMERICAN EYES as well as a TV commercial for Ordway Center in St. Paul and a promotional video for Rosemary Loar's Water From The Moon among others. He was the lighting designer and stage manager for the "Asian Americans on Broadway" concert series at the Brava Theatre and Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco and the Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston as well as stage managing various other productions in New York City. 

Bruce first came to New York as an actor where he appeared on Broadway as "Joe Gillis" opposite Elaine Paige in SUNSET BLVD. and as "Fyedka" in the national tour of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF with Theodore Bikel. He is the founder of Bruce Johnson Photography and Graphic Design, specializing in creating unique press materials (both internet and print) for performing artists. Bruce is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a BFA in film production.
